Professor Usha Krishnan, Director of Motility Services and Oesophageal Atresia Clinic at Sydney Children’s Hospital and member of the EAT medical advisory board published a child-friendly book explaining esophageal atresia.
The book is aimed at the 7 to 12 year age group. In the book a group of superheroes takes the child and their family on a trip around Mediland (the human body), explaining every aspect of the disease in child-friendly terms.
The OA Kid’s Story came to life with the help of philanthropic funding and the MEDIKIDZ publication group. It is available as a free ebook download and was even published with a limited number of physical hard copies. You may find further information and the download link to the book at the homepage of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.
