Graham Slater, former chairman of EAT, receives the Black Pearl Volunteer Award 2022

We are delighted to announce that Graham Slater, the former president of our organization, received the EURORDIS Black Pearl Volunteer Award.
The Black Pearl Awards recognize the outstanding achievements and exceptional work of people making a difference for the rare disease community.
The Black Pearl Volunteer Award acknowledges Graham Slater’s incredible commitment to rare diseases and his work with TOFS, EAT, the European Reference Network for rare Inherited and Congenital (digestive and gastrointestinal) Anomalies (ERN ERNICA), and different EURORDIS working groups.
Graham Slater was born with esophageal atresia in 1953. From 2011 to 2021 he was the Chairman of EAT and has been a special patient advisor for EAT ever since.
