I’m French, and work for Shire Pharmaceuticals in Nyon, Switzerland as Associate Marketing Director, New Products. Shire is a Specialty biopharmaceutical company focusing on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Human Genetic Therapies (HGT), Gastrointestinal (GI) and Regenerative Medicine (RM). I have worked for them over the last 8 years with various marketing roles in France, UK and Switzerland. I’m a pharmacist and hold a master in marketing from HEC Paris, France.

My personal motivation is my daughter Esma, 1 year old (born on April 2nd 2012)
One year ago, due to a rupture of the umbilical cord, we had to rush to the hospital (Morges, Switzerland) where I quickly had a caesarean section at 38 weeks of pregnancy. Esma was born, weighting in at 2.2kg but had some breathing problems straight after the intervention. She recovered after a few minutes. The relief was short-lived as less than 2 hours later, we were informed that Esma would need to be transferred to a bigger hospital (CHUV Lausanne, Switzertland) as she was born with a rare condition we’d never heard about, (O)Esophageal Atresia. In the Neonatology unit, she’s been scrutinised under every angle to check any other complications commonly associated with EA. After a first thoracoscopy at Day 3, she had to have another intervention, a thoracotomy at Day 11 as the 1st surgery didn’t work at all.
Esma spent 5 weeks at the ICU before coming back home.
